UNIT STUDIES

Unit Studies involve in depth examination of
a
subject using
different disciplines. For example, the
unit study on Sharks suggests various factual descriptions of sharks to
read,
literature and folklore concerning sharks, shark-related arts and
crafts, video
and documentaries about sharks, aquariums or other venues to see sharks
first
hand, and math word problems using shark facts.
Unit studies provide an excellent method for
afterschoolers
to enrich a dayschool education. Learners are given resources to
explore topics
that interest them and gain knowledge in areas they might otherwise
avoid.
